Since our Managing Director Andrew Coates established Strategic Corporate Finance in June 2000, we have completed almost 80 transactions.

With over 20 years experience of carrying out company disposals, corporate acquisitions and management buyouts, Andrew champions the firm’s “hands on” director led service and is proud of Strategic Corporate Finance’s powerful reputation for delivering excellent results in finding buyers for companies.

Greg Barker Director

Greg qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant with Deloitte in Nottingham before joining Strategic Corporate Finance in 2006. Since then he has advised on numerous company disposals and developed a wealth of knowledge and experience.

The key to successfully advising clients on disposals, according to Greg, is not only expertise of the sale process but also “going the extra mile” to ensure the deal is completed.

He says: “Selling a company is rarely straightforward. There are always challenges to overcome which means you need an adviser who is on hand to provide a personal service. At Strategic, we provide a professional, director-led service to all clients and pride ourselves on the results we achieve”.

Greg adds that the current economic climate shouldn’t be a barrier to those wishing to sell: “There is no shortage of buyers for quality companies, as cash rich UK and international corporates seek out growth avenues in an otherwise difficult environment. The current tax regime for vendors is also unprecedented.”

Greg is also experienced in dealing with management buy-outs, acquisitions, valuations and fundraising – enabling him to consider the wider perspective in giving advice.
